The Church of San Nicolò

This is a XVII century three-naved building with an unfinished brick façade. Next to it rises up the beautiful baroque bell-tower ( 1626-29). Inside, are the baroque High Altar by Fanzago ( 1634) with its multicoloured inlaid work and the wooden Choir-stalls with 27 high-relief panels interspaced by small fluted columns with Corinthian capitals, the work of Giovanni di Crema ( 1635 ). The delightful XIV century wooden Cross by an unknown artist stands next to the High Altar.
