The historical facade One of the most outstanding features of Grande Albergo AUSONIA & HUNGARIA is the stunning façade, a masterpiece of Italian Liberty style and the biggest in Europe to be completely covered by a wealth of polychromatic majolica. Bright and coloured is rich of floral pictures, feminine figures and joyful putto. Everyone is strolling along the Gran Viale can’t avoid to stop in front of the hotel to admire the beautiful sight. Who has not the pleasure to stay at the hotel come up to the entrance with awe, to try to get a photo of this wonder. Its history dates back to 1907, when it was realized by the engineer Nicolò Piamonte. The project for the majolica covering was presented on 1913 by the ceramist Luigi Fabris, following the Mitteleuropean artistic influence spreading abroad during the period.
